My Challenge
After many years of training and studying health and fitness, I discovered my body type was an endomorph. This basically means I have the unfortunate ability to gain body fat relatively quickly. For this reason, I always tried to keep myself active and in shape.
A few years later and due to work commitments, I neglected my workout program for over a year. After this period I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe how much I'd let myself get out of shape. That was the day I made an instant decision to achieve two objectives - get back into shape and think about publishing my results and knowledge on this website. At the time I had to make the decision to make the time to complete daily workouts.
The photos below were taken 10 weeks apart after a weight loss plan starting with a gradual reduction in calorie intake and following Tom Venuto's principles in his eBook. I also started exercising regularly including both weight training to help increase metabolism and some forms of aerobics.
I lost 17 pounds in weight but measurement tests show I added 10 pounds of muscle so actual fat loss was nearly 2 stones ( 27 pounds! ). I feel I have more energy and vigour for the workouts, plus I can enjoy more food as the increased muscle has dramatically increased my metabolism.
